16 Days of Action

November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, also known as White Ribbon Day. From that day, until Human Rights Day on 10th December, is the 16 Days of Action.

During this time, we ask men everywhere to recognise the necessity for them to stand up and take responsibility in working towards a future without violence against women. The first step towards this is wearing a white ribbon for the full 16 days, and making the promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

This year we are focusing on creating a future without male violence against women. Therefore we want to ensure the younger generation are prepared with a good understanding of the issues, and what needs to be done to change things.
