All Men Can

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make White Ribbon Day and the 16 Days of Action to end violence against women a success. We asked people in their communities, organisations and workplaces, to come together, and say ‘no’ to violence against women and you did this in your thousands!

We were able to get the message out that men’s violence against women and girls must end, and that all men can make a difference to so many people. #AllMenCan, our leading message, was developed for us in March when the murder of Sarah Everard brought women’s experience of men’s violence to the forefront of everyone’s minds. It also opened up so many conversations about men taking action and making a stand. It was important that we could connect with as many men as possible to encourage them to think carefully and make the White Ribbon Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

White Ribbon Day and 16 Days of Action 2020

Thank you for everything you did for White Ribbon Day and 16 Days of Action in 2020. Despite the restrictions of COVID-19. We were amazed by everyone coming together to raise awareness and make a difference. Here are just a few of the stories

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue ran a very different campaign this year due to Covid restrictions. Presentations have been delivered in meetings to encourage people to make the promise and raise the profile of White Ribbon. The presentation has been made available for Ambassadors and Champions to access so that they can spread the word far and wide throughout the service area. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue plan to deliver training to raise awareness of domestic abuse to their new recruits. The media department sent various messages out and re-sent partner agencies messages to support them. A short video clip was been recorded which went out via the media department to encourage more people to make the promise and show their support.
