16 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women

White Ribbon Day 2020 - a success thanks to you!

We saw an incredible amount of activity across the country on 25th November. Please keep your photographs and stories coming in – we are gradually posting them on our website which you can see here

Thank you to everyone who has fundraised for us over recent weeks.  With the increase in abuse and violence against women during the epidemic our work is more important than ever.  We want to be able to increase our activity as we go into 2021, especially by providing more resources to schools.  We are only able to do this with your support.  Tuesday 1 December is ‘Giving Tuesday’, please continue to encourage people to support our work and make a donation.

Many more activities and actions are taking place during the 16 Days of Action to end violence against women.  You can find out about our twitter campaign here – and post each day between now and December 10th. And our download, donate, display promise poster can be printed out and shared all year round – it was great to see so many in photographs and in the background at events we were joining.

White Ribbon Accreditation

Many organisations have achieved White Ribbon Accreditation, or have reaccredited during November. These include Network Rail, Surrey County Council, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue, Mid and West Wales Fire and rescue, Cheshire PCC, Humber NHS Foundation Trust, PA Housing, Dyfed Powys Police, The Metropolitan Police and Lancashire who are working to achieve County Wide Accreditation. Part of the success of White Ribbon Day has been the way in which Accredited organisations have organised events and ensure that they are raising awareness across the board.  If your workplace is not White Ribbon Accredited approach your employer and ask them to get in touch.
