Guidelines for using the White Ribbon and the White Ribbon UK logo

The White Ribbon is the global symbol for ending men’s violence against women and girls. The White Ribbon UK logo is protected by copyright. Only original artwork files for the White Ribbon UK logo and assets should be used. You should not attempt to recreate it yourself, including producing awareness raising materials and resources.

Who can use the White Ribbon UK logo

Any individual or organisation can request to use the White Ribbon UK logo for fundraising or promotional uses. If your request is approved, you will be asked to pay a fee of £50 for use of the logo. All artwork and/or messages must be signed off by White Ribbon UK.

White Ribbon Accredited and Supporters Organisations may use the official White Ribbon UK logo and the role-specific logos provided at the time of their registration as they wish and free of charge, subject to approval of final artwork and/or messaging by White Ribbon UK.

How to use the White Ribbon UK logo

Leaving clear space around the White Ribbon UK logo

The White Ribbon UK logo should not be cluttered by other text or images appearing too close to it and should not be positioned so close to the edge of materials.

The White Ribbon UK logo on backgrounds

The preferred background for the White Ribbon UK logo is black or white. As a general rule, you should always try to protect the overall look of the White Ribbon UK identity, so backgrounds that are white, black or orange are likely to be best.

One logo on a page

There should never be more than one White Ribbon UK logo on a page. Duplication looks untidy and dilutes the strength and impact of the White Ribbon UK identity.
