Tech Talks: The Age of Antisocial Media
Every year Veritas Justice runs an event as part of the 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence. This December, our event, TechTalks, will address the increasingly common but consistently misunderstood issue of cyber-enabled stalking. In addition, we will be discussing other areas of technology and how many social networking sites are letting users down.
Thirteen Group - staff activity
As part of a week of events/activities to raise awareness of domestic abuse, Refuge staff will attend head office to ask other colleagues in the business to make a pledge to never use their hands for hurting.
Safenet: Men Speak Out Against Violence towards Women and Girls
Safenet will be engaging with men, inviting them to participate and encouraging them to lead conversations to raise awareness of the issue and inspire men to take action by saying no to male violence against women.
This regional conference is designed for agencies, partnerships and businesses. It will support you to be active in addressing domestic abuse to make a real difference in your workplace and communities, creating safer future for all.

Stop the Silence on Violence
Join us as we mark White Ribbon Day in Brent and wear orange to show your support.
David Challen will deliver the keynote speech. David is the son of Sally Challen, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her husband. Sally's conviction was later quashed after new evidence emerged about her husband's controlling and coercive behaviour. David campaigns for more support for victims of abuse.
Genesis Screening of Ladybird
Solace have teamed up with independent cinema, Genesis, for an evening of film and fundraising. Genesis will be showing Greta Gurwig's directorial debut, Ladybird, to raise money for Solace.
Come along to celebrate female-led cinema and find out more about Solace's work and ways to support them. Tickets £3 / proceeds to Solace.
The Hampton Trust's 16 days of Action for White Ribbon Day
The Hampton Trust has arranged to visit multiple locations over the 16 Days of Action to spread the word and educate people on what domestic abuse is, and how we can support those experiencing abuse.
Calico White Ribbon Day
The purpose of the event is to mark White Ribbon Day and to connect with the numerous other event nationally.
The focus of the event will be to provide some space for our staff to consider the theme of “Creating a future without male violence against women” and we are focusing on engaging with young men and boys in particular.
The aim should be to bring the subject to life (in a positive way) for our staff motivating them to do something positive for change.
Staff event - Homes In Sedgemoor
Staff at Homes In Sedgemoor, Bridgwater-based community housing initiative, will be raising awareness within their team on White Ribbon Day.
White Ribbon Campaign Presentation
Turning Lives Around Domestic Abuse Lead workers will be doing a presentation on 25th November to raise awareness of the White Ribbon Campaign and to commit ourselves to ending Domestic violence and abuse. Staff are encouraged to complete the training to be White Ribbon Ambassadors and Champions, and all staff and trustees will be wearing the white ribbon in support.

Winchester awareness-raising
Winchester Domestic Violence Forum together with Winchester Community Safety Partnership will be supporting international White Ribbon Day, the Elimination of Violence against Women (this year we will also be sending out the message that men are also victims of abuse).
Domestic Abuse services in Chatham
Representatives from local domestic abuse services will be present on the street in Chatham Square, to offer advice and information about domestic abuse.
They will be joined by the Mayor and Mayoress of Medway.

Campaigning event
A stall will be set up in the general concourse of the hospital to raise awareness of the need to end male violence against women.
White Ribbon Launch
White Ribbon launch event in our local Council offices, we will have 14 stalls with information about local services to support around domestic abuse. This is followed by 16 days of a comms campaign and local events such as training sessions, coffee mornings and a DHR learning event.
Breckland Council White Ribbon Event
We are holding a bake sale, Flag raising and Chairman's address and the sale of ribbons etc at the Council Offices in Dereham, Norfolk on 25th November in aid of the White Ribbon Campaign.
Event is for Council staff only.
White Ribbon Morning
St Edmunds are holding a White Ribbon morning at the church, where they hope to have a couple of people speaking informally, and have invited various interested parties from within the community. There will be a table of resources.

Health Setting Support for Victims of Sexual Violence
This is an event for safeguarding professionals focusing on support for victims of sexual violence available in Lancashire health settings. Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office will share learning from an ongoing pilot project placing specialist support in a number of hospital settings across Lancashire. The event will explore current provision, referral pathways and future developments.
Council awareness-raising activity
Ipswich Borough Council will be raising awareness through a domestic Abuse Campaign from 25th November- 7th December 2019.
Rochester Cathedral - activities
An information stand will be on display throughout the 16 days of activism, with prayers said for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
#PHHOpenDoors
On Monday 25th November 2019, PHH Solicitors will be opening their doors at both the Cleveleys and Fleetwood offices for their first ever #PHHOpenDoors event.
Between 9am and 5pm, any woman can attend either office without an appointment for free legal advice about domestic abuse. Organisers hope that this event can help as many people as possible.
If you know anyone who would benefit from this event please do share this as far as possible.
Nobody will be turned away.
Newcastle Cathedral White Ribbon Sunday Event
Join Newcastle Cathedral as they host their second annual White Ribbon Sunday Event to commemorate those victims and all victims of domestic abuse.
