This is a fundraiser for the Dorset Women’s Refuge with performances of poetry and music
Actor Hermione Norris will be reading a selection of poetry and prose that highlight the complexities of intimate relationships. She is known for her appearances in Cold Feet and Innocent. There will be songs by local singers and Katie Bielic, Service Manager, will talk about the work of the local refuge.The Friends of the Dorset Refuge raise funds to support the women and children living in a local refuge and to provide them with festive food. Please bring presents for the children and the women in the refuge, food associated with the holiday season as well as basic necessities such as new single bedding, towels, toiletries, and books would all be very welcome.
During the Cabaret, there will also be musical entertainment and a few surprises on offer, as well as teas, coffees and homemade cakes.
First Service Manager, Katie Bielec, will explain the work of the refuge.
